Banking 365 was established in 1996 as Ireland's first telephone banking sevice and the over-the-phone service remains a favourite with customers. The service relies on interlinked customer call centres in Kilkenny and Dublin. Banking 365 Kilkenny was established at IDA Ireland's Loughboy Business & Technology Park in 2001, the Contact Centre employs over 300 staff. Kilkenny was selected as a base because of the advanced transport and technology infrastructure, the excellent quality of life and the highly educated population in the area.


The Kilkenny site is recognised as a “Centre of Excellence” for the Bank of Ireland Group, and delivers a wide range of customer services including Telephone Banking and Mortgage, Credit Card and Deposit advice. The team also support the UK Post Office Financial & Travel Services (POFTS) – a joint venture between Bank of Ireland and the UK Post Office. Bank of Ireland are committed to improving and further developing their direct banking proposition for customers, to ensure that they continue to provide their customers with innovative, convenient and accessible banking solutions.
